About this Specialist Spinal Backrack Course ... The Spinal Backrack course is a specialist training course that involves the use of the Backrack, a Decompression System that isclassified as “Medical Device Class I” byMHRA (Medicines and Healthcare productsRegulatory Agency). It is a wooden frame with rows and nodules, that is designed to mirror and fit the exact curvature of the spine and apply massage to the spine through specialexercises.
There are 3 levels to this course, with each level progressing on the previous and having its own certification.

What will I Learn on Spinal Backrack Course ...
This Spinal Backrack course will systematically guide the practitioner through the theory and practice of the Spinal Backrack System. Upon completion, it will allow the smooth and effective integration of Spinal Backrack techniques into their own daily practice.
Level 1
Presentation and Concept of the Spinal Backrack System
Anatomy and biomechanics of the spine
Muscle chains (concepts)
Difference between analytical and global stretching and muscle compression
Initial Test: VAS & Range of Motion
The four basic positions and the diaphragm
Lumbar area: muscle compression exercises and active mobilisation
The variations in exercises
Basic exercises cervical region
Basic exercises thoracic region
Basic exercises lumbar region
The correct approach for different sequences of exercises
How to develop group work within a centre
Final tests and verification
Level 2 Course
Address the most frequent pathologies of the lumbosacral-dorsal region and the related protocols of the Backrack System, for correct execution of the exercises.
The Backrack System LSD (Lumbar-Sacral Dorsal) module covers how to implement the actions between manual techniques (physiotherapy and osteopathic) and postural gymnastics, supporting the best possible result.
Go through a theoretical aspect of anatomy, biomechanics, neurology and subsequently, the exercise protocols and the ideal sequences for individual dysfunctions including:
LOWER BACK PAIN: What it is, postural connections, VAS tests, Backrack exercises, mat alternations, repeated endurance movements, contraindications
THORACIC SPINE SYNDROME: What it is, postural connections, VAS tests, Backrack exercises, mat alternations, repeated endurance movements, contraindications.
SCIATICA: What it is, postural connections, VAS tests, Backrack exercises, mat alternations, repeated endurance movements, contraindications.
CURVED BACK: What it is, postural connections, VAS tests, Backrack exercises, mat alternations, repeated endurance movements, contraindications.
Level 3 Course:
We will address the most frequent pathologies of the cervicobrachial pain syndrome and the related protocols of the Backrack System, for correct execution of the exercises.
The final module of the pathological Backrack System (cervicobrachial postures) is concluded between manual techniques (physiotherapy and osteopathic) and postural gymnastics, supporting the best possible result.
In more detail, we will go through theoretical aspects of anatomy, biomechanics, neurology and subsequently, the exercise protocols and the ideal sequences for individual dysfunctions including:

Course Prerequisites ...
Students must hold an Ofqual accredited Massage (level 3), equivalent, or higher.
Without an accredited Diploma, you may be able to attend the course, but you will not receive an FHT or IICT accredited certificate. This may affect your ability to obtain professional insurance.
Without an accredited Diploma you may not be able to join the FHT, IICT, or other professional body.
When submitting your Student Details form, you must also supply us with copies of your existing accredited qualifications to receive the course certificate. Supplying this information too late may result in your certificate being printed without the FHT and IICT logos. Additional charges may be incurred to print the correct certificate.
What does accredited mean?
Accredited qualifications are those that are reviewed, recognised and monitored by regulatory bodies in order to make sure that they meet specific criteria and quality standards.
If you have arrived in the UK from overseas and have existing qualifications, those qualifications may meet an acceptable standard in the UK. NARIC can provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to UK qualifications with a document called a ‘Statement of Comparability’.
You can also request an 'English Language Assessment' document, which may help determine your current level of English.
If you are unsure of your current course qualifications, please call the office to find out if your current qualifications can count towards this diploma. We will do our best to find out ways in which we can help you to successfully complete this course.
